An original look from 1962 is brought back to life
In 2017, Rado brought back the 1962 Captain Cook watch. A modern version with an automatic movement, a ceramic bezel, and a sapphire crystal, perfectly suited to everyday use. The green-dialed Rado Captain Cook Automatic we have here is a little twist on the original. The 42mm diameter case suits most wrists, and the beads-of-rice bracelet is our favorite for this watch. The bracelet is not only amazingly comfortable, but it also looks great and has a secure folding clasp.
No slouch in the specs department!
Besides the cool looks, it also has cool specs. A power reserve of 80 hours, a screw-down crown, an inward sloped uni-directional ceramic bezel in green (120 clicks), and a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. With the EasyClip System, you can easily change the bracelet for a leather strap or NATO, without risking damage to the lugs.
A twist of green
We covered the original 1960s Rado Captain Cook in this article, which clarifies what is new and what has stayed the same. Why the green version? We just happen to find it the best-looking variation of the Rado Captain Cook — fitted to the beads-of-rice bracelet it is simply a modern classic.
This watch comes with the original box, warranty card, instructions, and a two-year international warranty. We are an authorized reseller of all RADO watches we offer on Fratello.
