Lunar Craters

Lunar craters are circular depressions on the moon's surface, created primarily by the impact of meteoroids and asteroids. These impacts occur at high speeds, causing an explosion that displaces and excavates the lunar soil, forming a crater. Unlike earth, the moon lacks atmosphere and weather, so craters remain relatively unchanged over billions of years. However, newer impacts can modify or obscure older ones.

NASA's Apollo missions, particularly Apollo 11, provided extensive data on lunar craters. The Apollo astronauts collected samples, took photographs, and deployed scientific instruments around craters. More recently, in 1998, NASA's Lunar Prospector mission mapped the moon's surface composition, gravity, and magnetic fields. It provided data on the composition of lunar craters and their potential resources.

Anyway, we just wanted to create a new strap that will look good on your (and our) Omega Speedmaster Professional. In the images, the new July 2024 edition Fratello × REM Lunar Crater strap is attached to a 1990s Speedmaster reference 3590.50. In our opinion, the yellow-ish patina goes very well with the natural color leather strap.

Specifications

As always, REM uses organic leather from Sweden, where they're located. The premium organic vegetable-tanned leather is supplied by Swedish tannery Tärnsjö Garveri. Each watch strap is engraved with our collaborative name and the month of this strap's edition (July 2024). REM Straps only uses organic Swedish leather. The entire production process occurs in Sweden, including the stitching and laser engraving. The 20mm strap tapers to 18mm wide at the steel pin buckle. The Fratello × REM Lunar Crater strap also comes with a buckle that always bears an engraved Fratello signature. The strap length is 127 mm for the long part and 74 mm for the short part.

How quickly are orders processed?

We offer fully-insured worldwide delivery on all purchases.

How is my order shipped?

Your order will be shipped via UPS Express Saver and is fully insured. UPS will try to deliver the shipment on three occasions. After that, the shipment may be returned to us.

Exact shipping times depend on the destination and customs. You can track you parcel using the tracking link provided to you.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Orders placed Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M. CET to 5:00 P.M. CET may be edited or canceled within 1 hour of order placement (where possible) by emailing shop@fratello.com. Please note that changes or cancellations are not guaranteed. Those orders that are shipped before a cancellation has been confirmed, must be returned by the guidelines featured in our return policy.

What about pre-orders?

Should you change your mind after placing your order, Fratello will honor any cancellations and offer a full refund when the request is made before the pre-order window closes. Once the pre-order window is closed, all orders are final, and we are unable to cancel your order and offer a refund. All pre-ordered watches are bespoke and made-to-order, so the regular 14-day return window does not apply.
