A Tribute To Alaska III

This month, we pay tribute to the “Speedy Tuesday — Tribute to Alaska III” watch and the Space Shuttle missions.

Round Three

This is the third iteration of the Fratello x REM collaboration, and this time we chose a familiar subject, the first SpeedTuesday watch Fratello created. This watch paid tribute to the Space Shuttle program that lasted from 1981 till 2011.

One of the watches that the Dutch astronaut Wubbo Ockels wore on his Space Shuttle mission was the Omega Speedmaster Professional with a special dial, which later turned out to be a “radial” dial. For the fifth anniversary of Speedy Tuesday in 2017, we used this exact watch as inspiration for the Omega Speedmaster Speedy Tuesday “Tribute to Alaska III” watch. This watch originally came with a brown strap, so we decided to make this March 2023 Fratello × REM strap brown as well.

Laser Engraving

On the short end (74mm) of the strap, you will find the wording “Speedy Tuesday” and “Tribute to Alaska III”. The long end (127mm) has a laser engraving of the Space Shuttle on its external tank with two solid rocket boosters. This engraving is a representation of a technical drawing of the Space Shuttle and shows quite a bit of detail. As always, REM Straps carries out the entire production of the strap in Sweden, including the tanning, cutting and laser engraving.

The Specs

The straps measure 127 mm for the long part, and 74mm for the short part, excluding the buckle.
Fits 20mm lugs
All straps come on a 18mm Fratello-signed buckle.

We offer fully-insured worldwide delivery on all purchases.

How is my order shipped?

Your order will be shipped via UPS Express Saver and is fully insured. UPS will try to deliver the shipment on three occasions. After that, the shipment may be returned to us.

Exact shipping times depend on the destination and customs. You can track you parcel using the tracking link provided to you.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Orders placed Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M. CET to 5:00 P.M. CET may be edited or canceled within 1 hour of order placement (where possible) by emailing shop@fratello.com. Please note that changes or cancellations are not guaranteed. Those orders that are shipped before a cancellation has been confirmed, must be returned by the guidelines featured in our return policy.

What about pre-orders?

Should you change your mind after placing your order, Fratello will honor any cancellations and offer a full refund when the request is made before the pre-order window closes. Once the pre-order window is closed, all orders are final, and we are unable to cancel your order and offer a refund. All pre-ordered watches are bespoke and made-to-order, so the regular 14-day return window does not apply.
